Natural XXL Orange River Cathedral Quartz Cluster with Elestialated Window Faces x 1 From Pella, South Africa
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is an XXL and excellent perfect Orange River massive cluster with Elestialated etched window faces on its terminations, also called Cathedral Quartz. It is formed by skeleted crystal growths patterning where faces and edges grow faster than the larger central crystal, forming the “Cathedral stepped window” effect. This is an extremely rare item, as VERY few large and especially intact specimens come out of Pella on the Orange River in the Northern Cape. It is a monumental multi-point cluster of shiny, sparkling white Quartz with some Smokey tones, and a secondary frosty veiled layer of Quartz growth at the bases on one side enhances its beauty even further. A nice architectural centrepiece, and a museum grade specimen! From my private collection that I kept for many years.
