PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 

This is a Polished Classic Desmoceras Jigsaw Ammonite with Segmented Suture End intact, from Tulear, Madagascar. This an absolute Gem and has both great definition of segmented patterns and nice translucence. The Jigsaw Suture Patterns form where the internal walls (septa) of the shell meet the outer shell, forming complex, wavy patterns. Whie lAmmonites are not particularly rare, Desmoceras are much rarer and it is rare to get one as perfect as this polished specimen that reveals all of its character and traits by having been polished, but in its natural form!
