Super Rare XXL Bastite Dragon Blood Stone Sphere With Custom Made Metal Stand. Absolutely Beautiful Red "Blood" Piemontite Island Patterns swirling into the mixed Green and Grey Epidote. This is the second-largest sphere that we ever made of this material and it is stunning. 

Dragons Blood Stone (we originally knew this material 35 years ago as Bastite), a rare and striking material sourced from Tshipise, renowned for its thermal hot springs. Bastite is a fascinating combination of Epidote and Piedmontite, showing the geological complexity and rarity of this material. Piedmontite, a member of the Epidote group, displays hues ranging from red to reddish-brown or red-black, with a vitreous lustre and a distinctive red streak. Epidote, often found in metamorphic rocks like Marble and Schistose formations, results from hydrothermal alterations in various igneous rocks. Near the famous Messina. (Ajoite) 

Tshipise means "Hot Place" in the local Vhembe tongue. There is a Dragon shaped hill with the famous Tshipise Hot Springs near the  bottom of its head ridge smoking away, hence the name Dragons bloodstone.
