PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a classic and rare Berg Aukas Descloizite specimen. Descloizite is a rare Lead Zinc Vanadium mineral, with spear shaped rosettes of tabular crystals. The colour is a deep red brown to orange, and the mineral is sub metallic with a greasy lustre. This is a Vanadium "shale cast" with hollow centre is well formed. This is a historic, classic mineral. Berg Aukas is internationally recognised as having produced the world’s finest examples of Descloizite, but the mine closed in 1978, so only a few good specimens are available now. This one is very nice indeed.
