Natural Extra Large Lesotho Spearhead Calcite Sceptre Crystal Specimen x 1 From Albert's Mountain, Lesotho
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is an extremely unique and rare XL Lesotho spearhead Calcite sceptre crystal specimen. There are only a few of these large pieces that exist in the world maybe 10 pieces in total. It features a fine, drusy quartz coating with occasional, highly fluorescent calcite centres within exposed areas, along with a few rhombohedral fluorescent Calcite crystals on the tips of some spearhead crystals. A classic museum piece or an impressive XL showcase specimen. The formation shows parallel growth crystallisation with a pseudomorphic replacement of calcite by quartz, sometimes with dissemination of the centres. Central scalenohedral crystals that are bright red under a UV light. Hydrothermally formed, with weird, bulbous “cups” at the bases of the sceptre like, wide tipped spearhead crystals.
