Natural XXL Crystalline Coated Malachite Stalagmite Specimen x 1 From Kolwezi, Congo

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 

Stunning XXL Velvet Malachite Stalagmite Specimen! This is a 38 kg Museum Piece/Centre Large cabinet Show Specimen of note! A nice sparkling Crystalline Surface on top of bright  banded eyes and rings of dark, medium and pale green,  over the whole surface. This a Copper Cavern/Vug specimen. The Whole Piece shimmers and has a play of light across it as you move around it. It isn't cheap, but it definitely is for what it is. We have seen much worse pieces than this selling at much more than double this price. 

This forms from the Copper Saturated Dolomite layers and Gangue soil above these cavities leaching into them and forming oxidised Copper rich Dolomite Stalactites dripping from the ceiling and then dropping onto the Rounded Stalagmites and ""kidney" botryoidal like shapes and formations, laid down in consecutive layers. You can actually date a Malachite Stalactite (although they don't have much conversation but they are certainly sensual!) by counting the rings and layers/wet season/dry season in micro millimeters, much like a Tree Slice..but MUCH slower growth layers.  Malachite is 66% Cu!!! Thats why it is so heavy.  A Visually Bright and Magnificent A Grade XL Impressive and Interesting Mineral Specimen. This one was brought down from Congo by Kabwe Mpini.
