Polished Mutokolite with Ruby Corundum Free Form x 1 From Mutoko, Zimbabwe
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Polished Mutokolite with Ruby Free Form (only 1% of these had Ruby in them!)
This Mutokolite Standing Display Specimen is a newly identified Chromium-rich mineral in the Mica family, now classified as Emerald Mica (Chrome Muscovite). While not Emeralds, these specimens feature stunning green hues and intricate matrix patterns, making them unique and valuable. The Ruby is Fluorescent under UV light.
This is extremely rare material from the Motoko Dyke, an area of Geological Anomalies in Zimbabwe. We thought we had found Emeralds when this was found, but it turns out it is closer to Clinoclase and is a Chrome Silica Emerald Green Muscovite Crystalline inclusion.
