This piece is a beautiful Purple and Blue Flash Labradorite Standing Free Form Display Piece from Tulear, Madagascar. Labradorite is a type of Plagioclase Feldspar and is a series of mostly translucent platelets of aluminosilicate minerals , which causes the clearer layers to be Chatoyant with a nice play of light across surface playing across the micro- layers from the right direction under light. This one has attractive beveled edges on it and stands at the best angle to display its Labradorescent flash.
