Rare Purple Sunset Flash Labradorite - 168 mm Standing Display Specimen.

Gorgeous, bright purple, sunset Labradorescence, and polished all over - this piece is an absolute beauty, with bright Purple, Gold, Orange and Blue colouring! Almost 17 cm tall and cut to stand to reflect the best flash.

Labradorite is a beautiful Gem-Quality Plagioclase Feldspar, very similar to moonstone. Many thousands of fine and clear and included layers is what makes this stone so finely chatoyant and reflective from certain angles. You have to be a Lapidary expert to capture the direction and intensity of the flash, and polish it accordingly to get maximum colour.
