Hand Carved Verdite and African Butter Jade Royal African Woman Bust Sculpture x 1 From Southern Africa

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 

Expertly made A grade Royal African Woman sculpture made up of multiple minerals - African Butter Jade Head, Verdite Bust with knotted shawl carved into it, a Traditional African Porophyllite Hat , a Porophyllite Necklace and a White Onyx Necklace. This has all been expertly diamond tooled in detail. 

Coincidentally, I mined this African jade from Bronkhorstpruit, near Pretoria in South Africa in my early 20's and sold it to Ruacana Industries where these, now famous International Artists worked and perfected their skills in the early 1990's. Ironically the Porophyllite comes from a deposit just at the foot of the Brandberg Mountains in Namibia found by my partner Jakkie, and The Verdite comes from my friend Peter, who mined it near Nelspruit, South Africa. Now these are coming back around to us via my old friend Tony Giannini's wife and business partner Chia passing these along to us 25 years later, still new and packed away until now. A very impressive XL Statue of 18 kg and 43.5 cm Tall.
